30 Years of Service
Every shipping, receiving, or check-in station needs a printer that stays out of the way. The Zebra ZD22042-D11G00EZ fills that role on the desktop, printing 4-inch labels, tags, tickets, wristbands, and receipts at up to 4 in. per second.
The printer runs on the supplies you load into it. Direct thermal models work with heat-sensitive labels and receipt paper, while thermal transfer models pair a 74 m ribbon with label stock. Both accept roll-fed or fan-fold media up to 4.4 in. wide.
The ZD220 sits at the end of a workstation process: an order, ticket, or patient record triggers a print, and a label is applied seconds later. With the optional factory-installed peeler, the printer separates each label from its liner for immediate application.
Because it reads ZPL II and EPL 2, the ZD220 can slot into a workflow already built around older Zebra printers. Emulations extend that to some legacy languages from other brands.
Use the ZD220 for outbound shipping labels, inventory and product tags in light manufacturing, retail price tags and receipts, and healthcare wristbands. It also prints admission tickets and visitor passes.
Match supplies to the print method first. Direct thermal models need heat-sensitive media; thermal transfer models need 74 m ribbons with a 1:1 ribbon-to-media ratio. Keep media thickness between 0.003 in. and 0.0075 in., noting that the maximum applies in tear-off mode only.
Zebra recommends Zebra Certified Supplies for consistent printhead performance.
