Where the Zebra ZIPZUD10044027 Fits in Your Labeling Workflow
The 4100T prints on a thermal transfer printer and is applied at 50°F or warmer. After a dwell period, usually 24 hours, it reaches full adhesion and temperature performance and can move into freezers, heat processes, or outdoor storage.
On food packaging lines, it can label shrink wrap and packages where contact with dry foods is indirect or separated by a functional barrier. On electronics lines, it goes on the top side of the PCB after reflow.
Operational Advantages Across the Workflow
- One label stock for cold storage and high-heat applications reduces the number of SKUs to manage.
- Alcohol, IPA, ammonia, and bleach resistance keeps labels intact through sanitation steps.
- Smear- and scratch-resistant print cuts down on reprints and unreadable scans.
- Outdoor rating of up to 3 years extends use to yard and outdoor assets.
- BPA- and latex-free construction suits sensitive environments.
Recommended Applications for Z-Ultimate 4100T Labels
Use the 4100T for asset tracking, inventory labels, product identification, top-side PCB labels, automotive parts, pharmaceutical cold storage, and food packaging including shrink wrap.
Ribbon Compatibility & Buying Tips
Pair the 4100T with Zebra 6200, 5095, or 5100 ribbons, and choose 5095 or 5100 when UL certification is required. Test with gasoline, grease, or oil before rollout, and avoid acetone, MEK, TCE, and xylene.
Adhesion to polyethylene is low at 7 oz/in. after 24 hours, so trial it on PE packaging first.
