Brady B-492 FreezerBondz™ labels are purpose-built for laboratory environments where labeling must perform in extreme cold and on challenging surfaces. Unlike standard polyester or paper labels, B-492 is designed to adhere directly to frozen substrates, eliminating the need to pre-label samples before freezing.

The ultra-thin construction enables the label to wrap tightly around curved surfaces such as vials, centrifuge tubes, and slides. With a recommended 1/8-inch overlap, labels remain securely in place during storage, transport, and handling. This is critical in laboratory workflows where misidentification can compromise results or regulatory compliance.

The permanent acrylic adhesive maintains bond strength even after exposure to liquid nitrogen, freeze-thaw cycles, and aggressive chemicals. Combined with thermal transfer printing and the recommended R6400 resin ribbon, these labels produce high-resolution barcodes that remain legible throughout their lifecycle.
